Town council

The town council is the highest decision making body in the town. The council decides on the details of economic and financial issues, such as the municipal tax rate and the general grounds for fees, loan commitments and guarantees. The council also sets the operative and economic objectives for the municipal bodies.

Town council meetings are public events, and all residents of the town may attend them. Town council meetings are held in Kangasala-talo (Kangasala Hall).
